Bellen attaches great importance to process safety and environmental protection. Each project entering production needs to go through a comprehensive process safety assessment and define corresponding process control strategies.

Process safety assessment usually goes together with process development but must precede scale up production. We have developed a systematic and scientific approach to identify, evaluate, and control hazards involved in each process step, including the properties of raw materials, reaction mixtures, intermediates, and final products.

Our process safety assessment experts conduct experiments and generate data pertaining to thermal stability, quantity and rate of heat liberation, gaseous evolution and pressure generation rate, ignitability, flammability, and dust explosion.

A process safety assessment report is then generated, in which the safety data is calculated and compiled completely and comprehensively, including the recommended safe operating windows for lab scale, pilot scale and scale-up manufacturing.
