The technical team at Bellen Chemistry has a strong track record of helping customers design innovative alternative routes for their compounds. Some projects will be discussed in meetings with an internal “Expert Panel - Technical Committee”. Typically concepts and ideas based on literature searches are postulated and these concepts will be scrutinized and shortlisted based on a comprehensive set of criteria including:

• Chemistry challenges
• Cost and supply chain reliability of key starting materials
• Scale up feasibility for each step
• Possibility to use new technology
• EHS assessment
• IP status
• Overall cost control

The shortlisted routes will then be discussed with customer’s technical team and prioritized before initiating POC(prove-of-concept) work.

Upon initiation of the project, our team will work on a fast track POC experiments and provide continuous updates and transparent communication with the customer and conclude the final proposal that is based on data. Screening experiments are often conducted in parallel to speed up the process, and once the route is defined, the team will focus on immediately developing a scalable process and subsequently provide demo batches and scale-up batches based on actual customer needs.
